Pursuant to Sections 17b-352 and 17b-353 of the Connecticut General Statutes, the Department of Social Services is holding a public hearing on a Certificate of Need request for the above facility.

Request: Certificate of Need request for the reduction of licensed beds
Masonicare Health Center is requesting to reduce 97 licensed nursing home beds (from 357 to 260 beds) by converting four person rooms to semi-private rooms (24 beds) and to convert semi-private rooms to private rooms (73 beds). The Applicant’s letter of intent indicates the request is due to a reduction in census at the nursing home and that no resident would be involuntarily discharged or moved to reduce beds.
