Greetings! The Connecticut State Board of Education has undertaken a months-long process of developing it's 2023-2028 Five-Year Plan. After several months of meetings and retreats, engagement with thousands of stakeholders through surveys and focus groups, input by Connecticut State Department of Education staff and leadership, the latest draft, which includes goals, action items and outcomes, has been developed. Attendance and Engagement Contact (AEC)

The Attendance and Engagement Contact List is for individuals at the district-level responsible for addressing issues related to chronic absence, attendance, and engagement. This individual may lead the District Attendance Team, support School Attendance Teams and oversee attendance staff as well other tasks related to student attendance. The list will be used to inform districts on new guidance, research, promising practices, and events targeted specifically for district attendance leads. The individual identified in this list will be responsible for the sharing of information to the appropriate district and school staff also working on attendance and engagement.
