Governor Lamont Activates Connecticut’s Extreme Hot Weather Protocol From Tuesday to Friday
Governor Ned Lamont today announced that due to a weather forecast indicating that temperatures over the next several days will be very hot and humid with highs of more than 90 degrees and a heat index in the low to mid 90s, he is directing Connecticut’s extreme hot weather protocol to be activated beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, and remaining in effect through 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2022.

Governor Lamont Announces Department of Revenue Services Receives 239K Applications for 2022 Child Tax Rebate
Governor Ned Lamont today announced that as of midnight last night, the Connecticut Department of Revenue received a total of 238,668 applications for the 2022 Connecticut Child Tax Rebate. Those applications represent 369,863 dependents.

Governor Lamont Directs $3.5M in Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative Funds to Energy Efficiency Programs for Low-Income Customers That Will Reach an Additional 1,000 Homes
Governor Ned Lamont today announced that he is directing $3.5 million in funds from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) to be allocated to Connecticut’s utility-administered energy efficiency programs for low-income customers.

Governor Lamont Announces More Than 200,000 Households Have Applied for the Child Tax Rebate So Far as the July 31 Deadline Approaches
Governor Ned Lamont today announced that as of this afternoon, a total of 200,027 households on behalf of 311,513 children have submitted applications for the 2022 Connecticut Child Tax Rebate. This includes more than 11,000 households that applied within the last 24 hours.
