Governor Ned Lamont today announced that he has signed an executive order revising the guidelines for the travel advisory he enacted earlier this year in Connecticut amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in order to streamline its operations and align with recently modified guidance on the virus from the U.S Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Governor Ned Lamont today announced that due to the severe winter storm that is anticipated to impact Connecticut beginning tonight, he is implementing a tractor trailer and tandem trailer travel ban on all limited access highways in the state beginning 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 and ending at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2020.

Governor Lamont Activates Connecticut’s Severe Cold Weather Protocol Effective Wednesday Afternoon
Governor Ned Lamont today announced that as a winter storm approaches and wind chills are expected to drop into the single digits this evening, he is directing Connecticut’s Severe Cold Weather Protocol to be activated beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16 and lasting through 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 18.

Governor Lamont Directs Flags To Half-Staff Monday for the Anniversary of the Tragedy in Newtown
Governor Ned Lamont today announced that he is directing U.S. and State of Connecticut flags to be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Monday, December 14, 2020, in remembrance of the twenty children and six adults who were killed eight years ago in the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown.
