July 6, 2021 - The state Capitol and Legislative Office Building are now officially reopened to the public. The buildings have been shuttered since March 2020 due to the pandemic. 

June 30, 2021 - Hartford, CT - As nearly 200,000 Connecticut residents still remain uninsured, the Connecticut Health Foundation awards five grants totaling $351,500 to support the work of local agencies advocating to expand access to healthcare coverage.

June 23, 2021 - Hartford, CT - The Office of Health Strategy and the Office of the State Comptroller announce the launch of the Connecticut Healthcare Affordability Index (CHAI), a tool designed to help policymakers understand the real costs of healthcare and the challenges that Connecticut residents face in meeting their basic expenses.

June 2, 2020 - Hartford, CT - The Office of the Healthcare Advocate creates a new web portal to assist consumers who may have lost their health coverage due to the COVID-19 pandemic or economic shutdown.

March 17, 2020 - Hartford, CT–Consumers faced strong headwinds in both health care cost and access according to the 2019 annual report from the State of Connecticut Office of Healthcare Advocate (OHA). Despite those challenges, the OHA was still able to achieve more than $6 million in savings while helping more than 4,000 consumers.
