THURSDAY: GOV. MALLOY HOLDS NEWS CONFERENCE TO DISCUSS DISASTER ASSISTANCE OUTREACH EFFORTS FOR THE STATE'S BUSINESS COMMUNITY
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a news conference in Hartford to discuss a coordinated effort with the U.S. Small Business Administration and local chambers of commerce to aid businesses throughout the state that have been impacted by Storm Sandy.
Residents and businesses in Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex and New London Counties who suffered damage as a result of Storm Sandy and are seeking disaster assistance must register with FEMA by either going online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362). For those with speech or hearing disabilities, the TTY number is 1-800-462-7585. Governor Malloy and FEMA are encouraging residents to utilize the online method, if possible, in order to expedite the registration process and avoid potential telephone hold times.
