Use Of Revised Amended Connecticut Income Tax Return (Form CT-1040X)

PURPOSE: To provide information about the availability and use of the newly revised amended Connecticut income tax return (Form CT-1040X) [Rev. 10/94] that will replace the two earlier versions of the form.

ONLY NEWLY REVISED FORM TO BE USED: After the date of issuance of this Announcement, only a Form CT-1040X, as revised in October 1994, should be used to amend a Form CT-1040 or a Form CT-1040NR/PY for taxable years commencing in 1991, 1992, 1993 or 1994 (or any later taxable years). (The revision date is printed in the lower left hand corner of the Form CT-1040X.) Earlier versions of the Form CT-1040X (those dated either December 1992 or November 1993) should be destroyed.

EFFECT OF THIS DOCUMENT: An Announcement is a document that alerts taxpayers to important information. Such information may involve new administrative policies or procedures of the Department.
