Established in January, 2013, The Connecticut Health Improvement Coalition is a diverse partnership of local , regional, and statewide organizations and agencies that address public health from a variety of traditional and non-traditional perspectives.
The implementation framework for the coalition is based on Healthy CT 2020:
The Connecticut State Health Assessment (SHA) and Connecticut State Health Improvement Plan (SHIP).
DPH provides a leadership role in convening coalition partners through 7 Action Teams and facilitates a collaborative process to successfully implement the SHIP. The strength of the Coalition is the active participation of partners from across the state working together to connect health improvement efforts, leverage activities, maximize resources, and build upon existing infrastructure.
