AP Webinar Series: The New Connecticut Immunization System, “CT Wiz” What’s In It For Me?

Coming soon, the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) Immunization Program will replace the Connecticut Immunization Registry and Tracking System (CIRTS) with a new Immunization Information System (IIS) called "CT WiZ". CT WiZ will offer many new features!

 

Tune into this webinar to learn about how you will order your vaccines, report doses administered and track your inventory all in this one system. Learn about bi-directional electronic data exchange between your electronic health record (EHR) and CT WiZ. Learn how you can assess your coverage rates in CT WiZ.

 

About Our Speakers:

 

Nancy Sharova, MPH

Connecticut Immunization Information System (IIS) Supervisor with the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) Immunization Program. The CT Childhood Immunization Information System (IIS) includes over 850,000 patient records with 32,000 additional patient records annually. For the past sixteen years, Ms. Sharova has served as the IIS Coordinator overseeing day to day operations of the IIS; managing immunization contracts to ensure compliance with the CDC federal grant objectives; developing policies and procedures for system users including DPH staff, Immunization Action Plan (IAP) Coordinators, pediatricians, birthing hospitals, community and state agencies, and school nurses; and recruiting and training providers and school nurses to access and utilize the IIS with the goal of improving childhood immunization services at the point of clinical care and at the population level.

 

Michael Bolduc

Mick Bolduc has been with the Connecticut Immunization Program for 25 years and is currently the Vaccines for Children Coordinator. Mr. Bolduc oversees the state's annual $62 million vaccine budget. He and his staff are responsible for vaccine ordering, accountability and wastage. Mr. Bolduc frequently updates school personnel about new immunization requirements and participates in drafting new daycare, school and college vaccine requirements.
