Cancellation:
The only permissible basis for canceling a CSLRP subcontract is the death or permanent disability of the CSLRP participant.
Contractors may not cancel a CSLRP subcontract in order to allow an individual to participate in the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program.
Waiver:
Waiver is a permanent status. The basis for a waiver must be a medical condition or personal situation that involves:

The individual’s permanent inability to serve the obligation or pay the debt; or,

A permanent, extreme hardship to the individual that would be against equity and good conscience to enforce the service or payment obligation.
Suspension:
Suspension is a temporary status. The basis for a suspension must be a medical condition or personal situation that would temporarily involve:

The participant being unable to continue the service obligation or payment of the monetary debt; or,
-
An extreme hardship to the individual that would be against equity and good conscience to enforce the service or payment obligation.
