The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) awarded a federal grant to the state of Connecticut to develop a comprehensive plan for a coordinated and integrated environmental public health tracking network.  Environmental Public Health Tracking (EPHT) is the ongoing collection, integration, analysis, and interpretation of data about environmental hazards, exposure to environmental hazards, and human health effects potentially related to exposure to environmental hazards. It includes disseminating information learned from these data.  The CT Department of Environmental Protection (CT DEP) is partnering with CT Department of Public Health (CT DPH) to develop this program and with guidance provided by the Connecticut Environmental Public Health Tracking Planning Consortium (EPHTPC).  Contact the CT EPHT staff for more information.
