CT DMV Mobile Exceeds 300,000 Downloads
App Remains Popular for Quick, Easy Info
WETHERSFIELD – More than 300,000 users have downloaded the DMV's mobile app for practice knowledge tests, branch office and AAA locations, and a wait times listing at DMV. The app was launched in September 2014 to satisfy a growing demand for mobile services. It is available now for Apple and Android devices.
“Surpassing the 300,000-download mark continues to show the value of this mobile app for our customers to quickly connect them to information and many different DMV services,” said Department of Motor Vehicles Commissioner Michael Bzdyra.
The free mobile application features three practice knowledge tests and a parent quiz, in both  English and Spanish, which are popular DMV study aids to help prepare all applicants for a learner's permit test and to give parents of teens needed safety information for their young drivers. The app also connects users to DMV’s wide variety of vehicle and licensing services, including DMV’s new online offering to schedule the on-the-road skills test conducted at DMV offices.
“The CT DMV Mobile app is a very important application offering for the state of Connecticut’s DMV customers,” said Paul VandenBussche, General Manager of Connecticut Interactive, which developed the app for DMV.  “We’re continually making efforts to improve upon its success and ensure the mobile service is efficient for users now and in the future.”
CT DMV Mobile is free to download from the iTunes Apple Store and Google Play on Apple and Android devices, respectively. The application can also be downloaded through the DMV website at
