Community Companion Homes (CCH) Information Day was held on June 14, 2017
On Wednesday, June 14, 2017, the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) held Community Companion Homes (CCH) informational sessions at three locations.
CCH is a residential program option offered through the DDS that provides care to an adult with an intellectual disability. Families of all cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds and compositions are sought as licensees for the best possible match for those in our care. A CCH is a family setting that allows someone to grow and develop in a natural home environment, with every day functions and community experiences. CCHs are located all across the state in cities, suburban, and rural areas. DDS provides the oversight and monitoring within, as well as the funding to provide care to the individual.
Interested people stopped by and received information and were able to speak with someone about the CCH Program and how to become licensed to open their home.
The sessions took place in Wallingford, Danbury and Newington, CT
