DDS Employee Appointed Superintendent
 of the Unified School District #3
Lynn Skene Johnson(Hartford)- The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is pleased to announce that Lynn Skene Johnson, Birth to Three Assistant Director has been appointed Superintendent of the Unified School District #3 (USD#3), also known in the department as the Early Connections Program.

Ms. Skene Johnson is a long-time employee of DDS who started as a special education teacher in 1980 at the Meriden Regional Center and became a regional Early Connections supervisor in 1986.  In 1996, she was selected as the Birth to Three manager for the South Region and in 2006 she moved to central office as the program manager for the Policy and Practice Office.  In 2008, she was appointed to the position of Assistant Director of the Birth to Three System.  She is now the liaison to all of the Birth to Three programs, as well as serving as Superintendent of the USD#3, one of the providers within the Birth to Three System.

Early Connections currently employs approximately 60 staff, serving 475 eligible infants and toddlers and their families each month.
