This alert is to advise on the matter of appropriate supervision of individuals who are accompanied by support staff on recreational outings to amusement parks, fairs and carnivals.

Please ensure that:

1. All support staff are familiar with and adhere to specific individual supervision guidelines.
2. Individuals who use amusement rides are aware of safe behavior while on the rides.
3. All support staff supervise as appropriate, individuals entering a ride car or seat, paying particular attention to appropriate use of the ride's safety restraint feature.
