Safety Alert Related to Hurricane Irene
“Based on the particular geographic impact of Hurricane Irene on Connecticut, the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) Commissioner will decide which if any DDS facilities will be available to accommodate people seeking emergency relocation.  Information about available DDS facilities will be communicated to service providers via regularly broadcast news alerts.
Service providers should regularly monitor their local news stations to understand what local relocation/shelter resources are available to the public.
