|RE:||Hot Water Temperature Safety Awareness
Please share this communication widely.
This SAFETY ALERT is to remind all agencies, agency personnel and others, that anyone who directly assists individuals during bathing must check the water temperature immediately before assisting the individual into the bath or shower.
Please be aware that, in certain situations, temperature-regulating systems can fail and water temperature can rise to a dangerous level. Baths and showers must therefore be checked by staff before each use. Water temperature at tubs, showers, sinks and other water sources accessible to individuals, must not exceed 120 degrees.
