DOH – Go to www.ct.gov/DOH, go to Programs, then look under Individual & Family Support.  The Department of Housing administers the RAP and Section 8 Programs for Connecticut, and offers other housing-related resources.

My Place CT – Go to www.MyPlaceCT.org, then go to Finding Housing and Transportation.  This is a partnership initiative of 211-United Way, and offers information on housing and other resources needed to live independently.


CHFA – Go to www.CHFA.org, then explore to learn about Homebuyer assistance programs, programs for individuals with a disability, and homebuyer education programs.

UCEDD – Go to www.UConnUCEDD.org, go to Projects, then go to Affordable and Accessible Housing.  The UConn University Center on Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Services offers Materials, Videos and other resources to assist in learning more about independent living.
 
ASRC – Go to www.AutismConnecticut.org, go to Programs, then go to Housing.  Here you will find resources relating to housing and independence.


CT Housing Search – Go to www.CTHousingSearch.org, go to Resources, then explore the free online hub for listing and finding housing in Connecticut.

CT Fair Housing – Go to www.CTFairHousing.org, then explore this site that educates Connecticut residents on fair housing rights and provides resources and materials on poverty and housing discrimination. The Center also assists to ensure that all people have equal access to housing opportunities in Connecticut.

Renters Rebate Tax Relief – Go to www.ct.gov/opm, then search “Renters Rebate” to find info on this rebate program for the elderly and individuals with disabilities.
PACER – Go to www.PACER.org, go to Programs, then go to Housing. Explore to watch videos, find trainings and resources promoting independent living for young people with disabilities and their families. 

Disability.Gov – Go to www.Disability.gov go to Housing, and then explore to find a multitude of resources relating to housing matters for individuals with disabilities.
HUD – Go to www.HUD.gov, then explore the informational resources of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (Section 8).
