Educator Evaluation Plan Submission Process

The State Board of Education acted on April 5, 2017, to adopt proposed recommendations from the Performance Evaluation Advisory Council (PEAC) on the appropriate uses/non-uses of the state mastery test (e.g. Smarter Balanced Assessment, SAT, CMT, and CAPT) within the educator evaluation and support system. Correspondence was sent to superintendents on April 12, 2017.

In most cases, since the state mastery test data requirement was already waived through the 2016-17 academic year, a district’s plan is unlikely to change for the 2017-18 academic year. If a district’s Professional Development and Evaluation Committee (PDEC) would like to make a substantive change in their existing CSDE-approved plan, please complete the Request for EESP Amendment and submit the form with your amended plan. Further instructions are provided on the form.
