Each licensed genetic counselor applying for license renewal shall maintain certification with the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG) and having obtained continuing education units for certification as required by those boards.

 

Applicants for renewal must attest on the renewal application that the licensee has maintained certification and completed the continuing education required by the ABGC or ABMGG.
