Resources for Businesses in Creating a Privacy Policy to Protect Personal Information
Public Act 08-167, An Act Concerning the Confidentiality of Social Security Numbers, effective October 1, 2008, requires certain businesses to create a privacy policy detailing the ways in which they will protect the personal identifying information of their customers and other parties whose data they possess.
