Ethics - Communications with Vendors


In performing the duty of representing Connecticut residents and other taxpayer interests, we must understand and accept the fact that we work in a fishbowl and must carry out our duties under public scrutiny and in accordance with policies that take advantage of the benefits of competition.  In addition to competition, integrity is a principal attribute required of state agency contracting and purchasing staff.   

Consistency, openness, fairness along with integrity are essential to maintaining the credibility of our processes and our procurement contracts. To help us maintain such credibility, State contracting staff and purchasers must become familiar with the “Public Officials and State Employees Guide to the Code of Ethics” as well as the “Guidelines for Communications with Vendors”, as follows:
