Hazardous Material Inspection and/or Abatement Resources for State-Owned Buildings

Overview

The Department of Administrative Services (DAS) Construction Services provides Hazardous Material Inspection and Abatement services for Connecticut State Agencies and State Building Construction Projects, including the identification, abatement, and disposal of the following materials:

  • asbestos,
  • lead paint,
  • polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in building materials,
  • mold, fluorescent and high intensity discharge (HID) lamps,
  • mercury,
  • PCB ballasts,
  • lead-acid battery electrolytes,
  • fluorocarbons,
  • equipment coolant,
  • hydraulic fluids, and
  • petroleum products.
